Rehab’s occupational therapy department focuses on the
independence of a person, whether it is for returning to
work, play, or activities of daily living (dressing,
grooming, etc.).
Our occupational therapists customize treatment
programs aimed at:
improving upper extremity function and coordination,
improving hand function by therapeutic exercise and
splinting, improving cognition and visual perception that
might be decreased secondary to an illness such as a stroke,
improving abilities to carry out activities of daily living,
decreasing pain by use of modalities, increasing work
performance skills, and helping infants and toddlers to
reach appropriate age skills. |

evaluate physical work performance after an injury or
prolonged illness. Our
therapists can also determine physical work abilities prior
to employment, qualifications for disability compensation,
and guidelines for a work hardening or work-reconditioning
program. Physicians,
attorneys, case managers, vocational counselors, insurance
companies, employers, and clients can summarize our
therapist’s results in an objective and easy to read
