Health Fair!

Health fairs serve many purposes. The most important purpose is found within Winston Medical Center’s mission statement–to improve the quality of life of the citizens of Winston County and surrounding communities . The central purpose of a community health fair is to help individuals be healthier by seeking to engage the public in conversation about common health issues and concerns.  Winston Medical Center Health Fair provides and opportunity for community members to learn how to help their families stay healthy and safe.  This event attracts more than 200 area residents each year.

Winston Medical Center welcomes attendees October 8, 2019 from 8:30 a.m.to 1:00 p.m. Winston Medical Center  will be administering flu shots. Flu shots are $25 cash.  All Medicare recipients are asked to bring his or her Medicare card.  Other local health and safety organizations will be in attendance, offering door prizes and free services/screenings to the public.

Proactive information like nutritional displays, dental hygiene, kidney function, cholesterol and so much more are all part of the health fair offerings.  The health fair provides basic health screenings such as blood pressure checks, glucose and cholesterol blood tests, vision and hearing tests, offer both positive health feedback and identify at risk individuals.
