The Winston Medical Center Nursing Home was presented on December 10, 2014 with the 2014 Spirit Award by the Mississippi Healthcare Association in special recognition of their heroic effort, spirit and determination shown during a time of emergency and disaster.
“This award was an honor to receive for our staff members and especially for our residents and family members,” stated Fran Misso, DON. “It was a blessing that we had no deaths or injuries the night of the tornado.” “Being able to receive this award for the work that was done is very heart warming,” said Misso.
